Course Description:

This is a continuing education course for physical, occupational therapists and assistants. The course presents a review of the Movement Disorders of Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson’s Disease including: etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, current treatments (medical, surgical, and therapy), and discussion of therapy-specific evidence-based interventions. The attendee will acquire the knowledge needed to evaluate the patient using a variety of tests & measures, and document in ways more meaningful to the referring physician. Since interventions are evidence-based, better outcomes are expected.

Chuck is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and is a licensed Physical Therapist and owner of Posture & Balance Concepts, LLC. He has over 14 years experience evaluating and treating these special patient populations. Charles is currently a clinician at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.   Dr. Plishka has served on the Board of Directors for the Vestibular Disorder Association, which is a national nonprofit organization designed to provide information to the public on subjects and conditions related to dizziness and balance disorders. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Movement Disorder Society
